MNEMIC: 'Sons Of The System' Artwork Unveiled

November 4, 2009

Danish modern metallers MNEMIC have unveiled the cover artwork (see below) of their fourth studio album, "Sons Of The System", which is scheduled for a January 2010 release via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie: "Since late 2008, we started looking into artwork for the album, but it was not before we entered the studio in October, we actually found a solid idea.

"We wanted something simple, yet strong and something archetypal for this release, and we wanted to do it the right way this time. On the last release we never had any artistic control over our artwork; we just hired a name, a company that worked for majors, where our visions never converged into what we really wanted. This time around we reached out to hundreds of designers only to find out that we could do it our selves and even better!

"The artwork portrays the 'Sons Of The System' symbol. It's the symbol of the united, the symbol of the outcast, the symbol of the people in revolt of a greater evil. The real deal lies in the booklet artwork, which has been conceived by Rune Stigart and me."

MNEMIC will release the entire "Sons Of The System" artwork/booklet early next week in a digital flip book.

"Sons Of The System" is being recorded at MNEMIC's own studio and at the Antfarm facility in Aarhus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (HALFORD, BEHEMOTH, KATAKLYSM, THE HAUNTED),who previously helmed the group's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" (2003) and "The Audio Injected Soul" (2004) CDs.

Songtitles set to appear on "Sons Of The System" include:

* "Orbiting"
* "Climbing Towards Stars"
* "Dreamjunkie"
* "The Erasing"
* "March Of The Tripods"
* "Diesel Uterus"
* "Elongated Sporadic Bursts"
* "Hero(in)"
* "Within"

MNEMIC's last CD, "Passenger" (2007),was produced by FEAR FACTORY's Christian Olde Wolbers at Track Record Studios (KISS, MEGADETH, AEROSMITH) in Los Angeles. The album featured artwork by Asterik Studios (ANTHRAX, UNEARTH) plus guest vocal appearances by Jeff Walker (CARCASS, BRUJERIA) and Shane Embury (NAPALM DEATH, BRUJERIA). MNEMIC also completed a video for the song "Meaningless" with Revolver Film director Patric Ullaeus.
